It's Merdeka eve tomorrow. Already bloggers all across the country are posting their hopes for the nation. Some are hopeful, some sarcastic, some pessimistic. They end with a smirk, or sometimes with hope.

If I was to post something about Merdeka, it would be idealistic, diplomatic maybe. To some, maybe even boring. So I'm not going to write anything much. Just that...

I love this country, along with its flaws and faults. I believe that while the flaws will be ironed out through time, new ones will certainly emerge. Nothing is perfect.

Let's not be so harsh on Her. Malaysia has served us well. Here's to you....Happy Birthday! And a heartful thanks to all those who have strived to get us to where we are, and to those who are still trying to make this country a better place.
